Krav Maga Self Defense Best Unarmed Self Defense Technique by Chris Ost
KravMaga self defense is the official hand-to-hand combat system of the Israeli Defense Forces. It’s also the preferred system for U.S. Military and law enforcement personnel. Krav Maga is not a traditional martial art. There are no katas and no rituals involved.
The words “KravMaga” means literally “close combat.” Originally, it was developed from the street fighting skills of Imi Litchenfeld during the anti-Semitic activities in Bratislava during the mid to late ’30s. After he immigrated to Israel in the late 1940s, he began providing his knowledge to the IDF, Israel’s Defense Forces. This is why KravMaga martial arts is widely known as Israeli self defense.
KravMaga is a simple, effective unarmed self defense system that emphasizes instinctive movements, practical techniques, and realistic training scenarios.
KravMaga self defense is known as one of the best self-defense techniques in the world because it deals with lots of different skills and knowledge about fighting. Knowing about KravMaga self defense would make you become a good fighter. Learning how to deal with surprise attacks means that you will learn solid self defense skills for helping you deal with real world situations when they arise.
Based on simple principles and instinctive movements, this reality-based system is designed to teach real self defense in the shortest possible time. You can learn self defense against common choke holds, arm grabs, and bear hugs, as well as weapons such as guns, knives, and sticks. Just as important is learning to function during the stress and shock of a sudden, violent encounter. Tested on the battlefield and in the streets, KravMaga’s practical approach to self defense will make you feel safer and more secure.
Taking KravMaga street fighting classes you can develop the skills needed for you to win any battle you encounter. Your class should work on all areas of a fight including: attacks, self defense, timing, tactics, movements, and vision.
In your class you will develop skills for sparring and ring fighting, but, remember, the street is not the ring. The bad guy isn’t fighting for points and neither should you. KravMaga self defense emphasizes down and dirty fighting techniques – what is effective to win a fight on the mean streets. The Krav Maga self defense system of fighting will keep you safe and help you to survive a violent assault.
What do you do when a fight goes down to the ground? Krav Maga self defense students learn effective techniques used by grapplers in ground fighting against opponents of all sizes. The Krav Maga unarmed self defense method is designed so that ordinary citizens, young and old, men and women alike, can successfully use it, regardless of their physical strength.
