Will you go to jail for bringing a kinfe to a fight?

Okay , so one girl came to my house last night w/ a UMBRELLA , ready to fight me , & i told her to drop her stuff so we can fight , she didn’t drop it so i went back in the house & got a knife . Came back outside & there was 2 other girls w/ her ( they was hiding ) & i pulled out the knife & said okay , lets go . & they ran . My question is will i go to jail for that ? or is it just self defense , i was by myself .
but when i went back in the house they were still out there so they could of smashed a window , etc . they was NOT leaving .

You can go to jail for being in a fight with no weapons at all.

If you threatened someone with a knife, yes you can get in trouble.

You went back into the house to get it. You had the chance to stay inside (and avoid the whole mess entirely) or call the police, but you didn’t do that. It was not “self defense” because you were safe in the house, and you got the knife and went BACK OUTSIDE to fight someone with it.
