mma/ martial arts/ respect question?

ok so i found this mma school i want to join and its not really exspensive per month but all of the equipment is and my family cant afford really to drive me there as much as i want. but i know someone who trains with this guy in a certain type of martial arts he wont tell me what style it is because they are really secretive and there is only a few people who do it. and he said he would talk to his sifu if he could train me but his sifu is kind skeptical whether he should train someone my age because the last time he did the guy went out and hurt someone and they dont teach people for violence or sport they teach them for self defense. well next year ill be 18 and i want to start mma but if i join this guys martial arts and then use it when im 18 will that be disrespectful to him? for him to teach me and then me go and do it as a sport and possbily really hurt someone?

Anyone who trains in secret and doesn’t allow people to understand the style or the training is a clown. I wouldn’t go anywhere near him.

Otherwise, you owe no loyalty to different facilities. You’re paying money and you’re the student. You may switch as you see fit.
