Can a 3 million volt stun gun permanently harm someone?
I know its mostly the amperage that kills but could extremely high voltage have some unwanted side effects? I just got a 3 mil taser and i want to tase myself. lol.
Injury is very unlikely from a stun gun. Static generators (the globes you see in science museums that make your hair stand on end) have up to 20 million volts. You can touch them unharmed because there is so little amperage.
About the worst that will happen with a stun gun is a small burn at the point of contact. There are some ways to increase the chance of injury, but I won’t discuss them in a public forum.
I see some answers are using the term stun gun and taser interchangeably. They are not the same, there is a major difference. The taser fires two probes which increase the separation. This separation is what causes the effects. Because a stun gun has fixed contact points, you only feel pain at the point of contact.
